Trump Says Missiles Will Be Headed To Syria

A Russian diplomat says that any U.S. missiles fired at Syria will be shot down and their launch sites targeted. The Russian Ambassador to Lebanon's warning comes as Trump considers military action against Syria in the wake of a chemical attack on a rebel-held region of the war-torn nation. In a Tweet this morning, Trump said that if Russia plans to shoot down missiles, they need to get ready. "Get ready Russia," Trump wrote, "because they will  be coming, nice and new and "smart!" You shouldn't be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!"

Russia backs the regime of Bashar al-Assad, accused by the rebels of launching the gas attack. Trump said Monday that major decisions would be made with respect to Syria in the coming 24 to 48 hours and canceled his travel plans to South America.
