Road Rage Suspected in Overnight Highway Shooting

A motorist who imagined he had been done wrong on the highway started shooting at a pickup driver on I-35 overnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police say the road rager pulled a handgun and started shooting the driver he thought had committed some insult on the Interstate on I_35 and Theo Street, just southwest of downtown, about 11PM.

The pickup exited the highway at Theo but the motorist kept shooting, all the way until the pickup made it to Zarzamora Street.

The pickup driver was shot in the arm and is hospitalized in stable condition. He said he didn't get a good look at the car that contained the irate driver, and didn’t get a license plate number.

And, as is usual in road rage cases, the guy who was on the receiving end of the rage has absolutely no idea what he did to anger the gunman, who sped away.
