Bexar County Sheriff's Deputies engaged in an old fashioned foot chase early today on the far west side, after a man was spotted lurking in a neighborhood near US 90 and Loop 1604 shortly after midnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Deputies called in a DPS helicopter, which used its spotlight to sweep the area, and discovered the man on Amber Gap Street.
The suspect, identified as in his late teens, was arrested for evading arrest.
Deputies who retraced the man's steps found a number items laying in the street near the man's car, and believe the items may have been stolen from nearby homes.
