Rocker Nugent Fires Up Gun Debate in Interview with 1200 WOAI's Joe Pags

Ted Nugent fired up the debate over gun control in a fiery appearance on the Joe Pags show on 1200 WOAI.

Nugent, who is a long time advocate of the Second Amendment and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Rifle Association, tore into the teenage Parkland High School students and the 'March for Our Lives' rallies.

"The lies from the left, the lies from these poor mushy brained children, who have been fed the lies and are parroting the lies, they are actually committing spiritual suicide, because everything they recommend will cause more death and mayhem, guaranteed," Nugent said.

Nugent, who is a resident of the central Texas town of Crawford, blasted the teenagers for attacking the NRA as 'having blood on its hands' following the Parkland shooting and other incidents.

Parkland students Emma Congalez and David Hogg have also claimed that the NRA is 'complicit in killing children.'

"That is sad, the level of ignorance goes beyond stupidity," Nugent said.  "The National Rifle Association are a bunch of American families who have a voice to stand up for our God-given Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.  We have no blood on our hands.  No National Rifle Association member has every been involved in any mass shooting.  This poor pathetic individual is a liar."

Nugent also blasted the claims of the students that mass shootings occur because politicians keep taking money from the NRA.

"The dumbing down of America is manifest in the culture-deprivation of out academia which has taught and provided these kids lies.  It is not only ignorant and dangerously stupid, but it is soulless.  To attack the good law abiding families of America, when well known, predictable murderers commit these horrors, these poor children, I'm afraid to say it, they have no soul."

Nugent also blasted the students for claiming that a semi-automatic weapon like an AR-15 is a 'weapon of war that belongs on the battlefield.'

"Nobody has ever gone to war with an AR-15."
