LaMarcus Aldridge suffered a knee injury in the Spurs game against the Washington Wizards Tuesday night.
Aldridge left the game in the second quarter and never returned.
The team later announced he had bruised his left knee and would undergo a scan on Wednesday morning.
With Kawhi Leonard out of the lineup, Aldridge has led the Spurs throughout most of the season. The team says it is hoping he'll be able to return for Thursday night's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
As for the game; the Wizards used a 38-point second quarter to carry them to the 116-106 win over the Spurs. It was a balanced offensive night that saw the Wizards have seven players score in double figures. Markieff Morris led the way 15 and the bench combined for 61 points. Washington halted a three-game losing streak as they improved to 41-and-33. They're sixth in the Eastern Conference. San Antonio outscored the Wizards 40-to-28 in the fourth quarter to make the final score look closer than it was. The Spurs are 43-and-32, tied for fifth in the Western Conference with the Pelicans.
