Four Year Old Converse Boy Dies After Being Attacked by Family Dog

A four year old Converse boy died last night after he was attacked by a family dog as he was playing in his backyard, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Sheriff's investigators say it happened in the 8900 block of Twin Creek Farm in the northeast side suburb.

Officials say the dog was tied up in the back yard, and the boy may have gotten too close to the animal. Witnesess reported seeing the dog with the boy's head and neck in its mouth.The boy, who was identified Sunday night at Noah Trevino, was rescued by family members, but died at the hospital.

The breed of the dog was not immediately clear. Officials said Animal Control Services took custody of the dog, which is expected to be euthanized
