Schertz Package Originated in Suburban Austin

Police in the Austin suburb of Sunset Valley confirm that the two package bombs that were discovered in a FedEx processing station in Schertz and another in Austin this morning were mailed from there, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

"The FBI is currently investigating a confirmed link between packages involved in the Austin bombing investigation and a mail delivery office in Sunset Valley. It appears that the source of the suspect packages was a private package delivery office in Sunset Valley," the police department said in a statement.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton told KXAN-TV in Austin that both packages were 'sent from Austin to addresses in Austin.'

"There is information that that package was being mailed back to Austin, and then, obviously, there was one that did not go off, a bomb that did not go off," Paxton said.

The FBI has begun an investigation into the package delivery service, which is located on Brodie Ln, in far southwest Travis County.
