Fire Badly Damages South Side Home

Brush and trees close to a south side home hampered fire crews as they found a fire that damaged the home overnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

When firefighters arrived at the home at the corner of South Presa and Leopold Streets, they found smoke and flames coming out of a small building in the back of the house.

The dry brush and gusty winds helped the flames spread to the main house, which was badly damaged.

Firefighters stayed on the scene for some time, putting out hot spots.

Nobody was hurt, and arson investigators are looking for a cause.
