A woman was killed early today when, for some reason, she insisted on getting out of a moving car on Highway 90 near the Cupples Rd. exit at 2AM, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The woman, in her twenties, jumped out of the car and then jumped over the concrete divider median.
She was then hit by an oncoming pickup truck that was in the eastbound lane. She was rushed to the hospital but died.
The pickup driver drove off toward I-35 and police are looking for him.
No word why the woman wanted to jump out of the car.
