Malik Newman poured in 30 points as top-seeded Kansas dropped Oklahoma State 82-68 in the Big 12 Tournament quarterfinals in Kansas City. Newman was 11-of-15 from the field and 4-of-6 from deep to lead the ninth-ranked Jayhawks. KU pulled away in the second half and will battle state rival Kansas State in Friday's semifinals. Jeffrey Carroll led the Cowboys with 17 points in the loss. Kendall Smith added 14 points for OK-State, which dropped to 19-and-14 with the loss.
