Two 16 year old boys got into a gun battle over a girl on the city's east side late last night, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police were dispatched to the Oak Meadow Villa Apartments in the 2900 block of Rigsby on a report of gunfire.
Witnesses said the two boys were arguing over a girl outside an apartment, and one pulled a gun and shot the other teen in the lower stomach.
The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The young gunslinger ran away, but police know who he is.
Police didn't say why two 16 year olds were outside at 11PM on a school night to begin with.
