A body was found Sunday afternoon in the San Antonio River in the heart of the Riverwalk, Police tell News Radio 1200 WOAI.
The body was found near Commerce and Alamo, which is where the red Torch of Friendship sculpture is located, steps from RiverCenter Mall and near the Convention Center.
No word on a possible cause of death.
This is the second body found downtown today. The body of a murder victim was found in a parking lot on Travis Street late this morning.
