The all clear has been sounded in Poteet, after a threatening text message prompted a lockdown of all Poteet ISD schools, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The district says a Poteet High School student received a 'threatening text message from a phone number that was determined to be a spam number.
Poteet H.S. implemented its crisis plan, with Atascosa County Deputies, Poteet Police, and the FBI all called in.
All district schools were locked down, and the district perimeter was secured by the Sheriff's office.
The district lifted the lockdown after it was determined that no credible threat existed, but officials praised the student for immediately reporting the text message threat, and urged residents to report anything that may be threatening.
