The manager of a liquor store on Austin Highway shot a customer to death during a confrontation inside the store, police on the scene tell News Radio 1200 WOAI.
It happened at S and M Liquors in the 1500 block of Austin Hwy.
Police say a man walked into the store, and immediately started harassing the manager. Police say the customer backed the manager into a corner, and the manager pulled a gun and shot the man several times.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The manager was not hurt.
Police say it was not a robbery, and say the man reported that he was suffering from some type of stress.
It is not known whether the man who was shot was armed. Police will review security camera video before determining whether to file charges.
