American skier David Wise is bringing home a gold medal for the second-straight time in the Olympics. Wise threw down a 97.20 in his final run to win the men's halfpipe event in PyeongChang. It is a repeat of his gold medal performance in the same event at the 2014 Games in Sochi, Russia. He edged his U.S. teammate and silver medalist Alex Ferreira by less than a point. Fellow Americans Aaron Blunck and Torin Yater-Wallace finished seventh and ninth respectively. New Zealand took home the bronze.
