A DPS Trooper was shot in a gunbattle in east Bexar County this afternoon, officials tell News Radio 1200 WOAI.
It happened outside Loop 1604 at I-10 and Graytown Road.
Officials say the Trooper did not suffer life threatening wounds and is being treated at University Hospital.
The person who shot the Trooper is in custody, and he also suffered a gunshot wound.
There is a large police presence on the scene, and traffic was blocked on I-10.
Officials say the gunbattle took place during a ‘pursuit.’
