Facebook-Arranged Dope Deal Ends With Teen Shot

An attempt to do a drug deal that was set up on Facebook did not end well for an 18 year old man early today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

The teen was sitting on the curb on  Hedrick Farm St, which is near Walzem and Gibbs-Sprawl on the northeast side about 3AM when the two men he had arranged to meet with on social media arrived.  But they didnt have commerce on their minds.

One of the met pulled a gun and shot the teen twice.  He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Police dont know if it was a set up from the start, or if it was an actial dope deal that went south.  Drugs were found at the scene, police said.

The two gunmen remain at large.
