A 64 year old Arizona man was indicted and arrested today in connection with the murder of a woman in San Antonio in January of 1987, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The body of Dianna Lowery was found in the bathtub of the duplex where she lived on Bailey Ave, and even though detectives determined the death was a homicide, the case went cold.
SAPD cold case detective Elizabeth Greiner, after consulting with Lowerys relatives, gathered enough information to tie Lowerys landlord, Larry Moore, who lived in the duplex next to the victim, to the crime.
Even though charges were dropped against Moore previously, today he was re-indicted on capital murder charges and he was arrested in Prescott, Az.
District Attorney Nico LaHood says Moore strangled the victim while attempting to sexually assault or kidnap her, which makes it capital murder.
Moore could face the death penalty if convicted.
