A train collision in South Carolina is claiming the lives of two Amtrak workers. Governor Henry McMaster confirmed the deaths during a news conference this morning. He said 116 of the nearly 150 passengers were taken to local hospitals with injuries that vary from minor to more serious. He said the dead were among the eight crew members on the passenger train. McMaster said he believes the Amtrak train struck a stationary CSX freight train on a side track in Cayce, South Carolina. He said it "appears" the passenger train was on the wrong track. The NTSB and FBI will be part of the investigation into the cause of the crash.
