An argument is front of the Cassiano Homes off Hamilton Street on the west side left two people, including a 14 year old boy, suffering gunshot wounds, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say it started when a group of men drove by and started taunting a group of men standing in front of one of the apartment blocks.
One of the men in front of the apartments ran inside and grabbed a gun.. Police say he was apparently trying to shoot at the men in the car, but he simply started firing blindly.
One of the bullets hit a 14 year old boy who was just standing there watching the altercation.. Another hit a man who was driving by in another car.. Both were rushed to the hospital, the teenager in critical condition.
The gunman then ran back inside the apartments, prompting police to surround the apartments and prompting an hours-long standoff
Police said the suspect was taken into custody.
