A 40 year old bicyclist is clinging to life after he was run over by a car as he biked on the sidewalk in the 'Hipster-friendly' part of the city known as Southtown, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The bicyclist was riding his bike on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of South Alamo, not far from the Blue Star arts complex, when an employee at the Pioneer Mill turned into the driveway of the business on his way to report to work for the night shift.
Police say the driver didn't see the man on the bicycle and ran over him.
He was rushed to BAMC with multiple injuries, and was listed in critical and life threatening condition.
Police didn't charge the driver with any offenses involving the accident, but he was cited for having outstanding warrants.
