UPDATE: Police say two teenagers have now been arrested. They are identified as Geraldo Santillan, 19, and Ares Aponte-Rodriguez, 18, and both are held on $75,000 bond.

Police say a man who ventured into the parking lot of a north side apartment to confront two men who were breaking into cars is clinging to life after one of the burglars shot him twice in the stomach, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police were called to the Estates of Northwood Apartments on Henderson Pass on a report of a car burglary, and then moments later they got a report of a shooting at the same address.
When officers arrived, they found a man in his twenties lying in the parking lot, bleeding from two gunshot wounds.
He was rushed to the hospital in extremely critical condition.
Police were questioning two men who were found at the scene.
