Boerne Getting Boutique Event Hotel

Boerne is getting its first custom designed boutique convention hotel, as the city deals with booming interest in holding events in the increasingly hip suburb, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

"Leisure, weddings, business," says developer Ed McClure, who along with his partner Ross Partlow of Phoenix Hospitality Group, is developing the Bevy Hotel Boerne.

"A bevy is a collection of similar things," Partlow said.  "In the case of our hotel, this 'Bevy' embodies a cornucopia of all things Texas Hill Country; incredible diverse food, artisan beverages, authentic regional finishes, vibrant wild flowers, unique Texas music, and Texas hospitality."

The hotel is being built on Herff St. just west of 87, south of the increasingly attractive SoBo area of downtown Boerne.

"Its a custom designed hotel, its an artisan hotel," McClure said.  "Meaning we hired some of the preeminent designers in the world in terms of hospitality."

McClure says the 'uniqueness of Boerne' is starting to make the suburb an attractive destination for people from across the state.

He says the Bevy will be a member of the DoubleTree by Hilton group. It should be open in the spring of 2019.
