Its happened again, an innocent child has been shot in the senseless uptick of street violence that has ripped San Antonio, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say a six year old boy was hit in the head, apparently by a ricochet, when a drive by gunman opened fire on a home on West Travis Street, on the city's west side.
A 20 year old woman was also hit by gunfire.Both were rushed to the hospital with non life threatening wounds.
Police don't have many clues, and say its possible that whoever opened fire may have meant to shoot at a completely different home.
Children have become targets of gunfire on several occasions in the past year, as the cycle of 'revenge based' violence has caused anger in many neighborhoods.
