A pedestrian was killed in a tragic accident in south Bexar County overnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Sheriff's deputies say a man was walking his dog on a residential street just off US 2018 when a car approached.The dog darted into the path of the car. The driver braked and turned sharply in an attempt to avoid hitting the dog, and instead ran over the man who was walking the dog.
He was killed instantly.
The accident remains under investigation and there is no word if criminal charges will be filed.
