The Alabama Crimson Tide are champions of college football after a 26-23 overtime win against the Georgia Bulldogs in Atlanta. DeVonta Smith hauled in a 41-yard touchdown pass in OT to win it. The Tide overcame a 20-7 second-half deficit to get the win.
Andy Pappanastos hooked a 36-yard field goal on the final play of regulation that would have won it for 'Bama. Rodrigo Blankenship drilled a 51-yarder after a sack to give Georgia a 23-20 lead.
Down 13-0, Tua Tagovailoa started the second half for Alabama and threw three touchdown passes, with the game-winner coming one play after a huge sack. Mecole Hardman had a one-yard TD run and an 80-yard touchdown catch for the Bulldogs, who finish the season 13-and-2.
