The Rockets are clearing up cap space to lock up reserve guard Gerald Green for the remainder of the season. The Houston native has found success as a dynamite scorer off the bench for the Rockets, averaging 21 points per game over their last four contests. The Rockets originally signed him to a non-guaranteed deal on December 28th. The team was facing a deadline where they needed to guarantee Green's contract or waive him by Sunday, in which they chose to keep him. Houston waived guard Bobby Brown on Friday to make room on the roster. The 31-year-old entered the NBA straight out of high school in 2005 and won the 2007 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
