Woman Quickly Arrested Following Jail Break

A woman was quickly recaptured after escaping from the Bexar County Jail this morning, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

The Sheriff's Department says Rosemary Hernandez, 39, was being booked on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon when she apparently slipped away from the booking area, and managed to wind up and down several corridors in the Jail until she got outside.

She managed to get out of the Jail but she didn't get far.  Deputies say Hernandez says arrested just 90 minutes after the escape in the 4800 block of West Commerce.

She will now faced felony charges for her 90 minutes of freedom, and the Sheriff's office is conducting an internal investigation into how she managed to escape.
