Battle of the Best This Weekend at the Alamodome

Since 2001 the nation's top All-American High School football players have descended on the Alamodome for the U.S Army All-American Bowl. Coming up Saturday at Noon it is once again the battle of East vs. West at the Dome. Since its inception over 351 players have been selected in the NFL draft.

Currently the West leads the series 9-8 and two local players that will be on the field for the West to as they attempt to keep hold of the series lead.

Area selections for the West include Left Safety Karsten Battles from Johnson, Running back Brenden Brady and Defensive Back Caden Sterns from Cibilo Steele. Battles has committed to The University of Oregon, Brady to Rice University and Sterns to The University of Texas.

The game also features 125 of the nation's top high school musicians in the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band performance.

At 5PM more than 100 high school players from Bexar County and 7 surrounding Counties take the field for the San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game presented by H-E-B

One ticket gets you in to both games. A double header of High School Football will cost you around $15 and tickets are available at Ticketmaster
