'Winter Weather Advisory' Lifted but "Hard Freeze" Warnings Remain

The National Weather Service says the 'Winter Weather Advisory' has been allowed to expire as the sleet and freezing rain has moved into the Houston area, but the "Hard Freeze Advisory' remains in place until tomorrow, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

TxDOT and the SAPD report all main roads are open, although bridges and overpasses may see some ice formation as temperatures have been in the upper 20s all morning.

We will actually see temperatures rise above freezing today, with a high of about 35 degrees expected.  San Antonio did not rise above the freezing mark all day on Monday.

Tomorrow will feel down right balmy, with temperatures in the mid 50s expected.  We'll be back into the sixties under sunny skies by the weekend.

TxDOT says lanes of I-35 between San Antonio and Laredo, which were closed yesterday due to icy conditions, have been reopened.
