SpaceX Successfully Launches 18th Mission Of Year

SpaceX

SpaceX launched it's final mission  of the year.  A Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Vandenberg Air Base in  California tonight, but this time it's not landing.  The 18th mission of  the year is sending 10 satellites into orbit for customer Iridium.   It's part of a contract with Iridium to launch a total of 75  communications satellites.  SpaceX has successfully landed every Falcon 9  rocket it attempted to recover this year, but let this previously used  rocket fall back to earth.

The launch had many in California going on social media asking what was lighting up the sky - some wondering if was a UFO or a missile.
