Two Men Shot in 'Drug Deal Gone Bad' on Northwest Side

Police think a confusing double shooting on the city's northwest side overnight was the result of a bungled dope deal, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

It all started when a 23 year old man got a text as he sat in his apartment at the Preserve of Westover Hills complex on Northwest Crossroads, which is near Potranco and Culebra.

The text urged the man to 'come outside.'

When he stepped outside, a man who was apparently waiting for him pulled a gun and shot him.

A few minutes later, another man turned up at CHRISTUS Westover Hills hospital on US 151, and he too had been shot, he had a bullet in his chest.

Both victims will survive.

Police are trying to figure out who is the victim and who is the bad guy, and how it all came down.
