Suspects Nabbed in Two High Profile Cases

Police were busy while you slept overnight, rounding up suspects in two high profile cases, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police from San Antonio and Helotes arrested Jack Harris, 30, in connection with bank robberies last week at two banks on Bandera Road, the Broadway Bank branch in Helotes, and the Falcon Bank branch just inside Loop 1604.

Police say the robber was captured on surveillance video in both cases, and Helotes Police tracked down Harris and  obtained an arrest warrant.

He was found in the 2000 block of Lamar, on San Antonio's east side.

When officers moved in, Harris tried to run away but was quickly captured.  He is charged with two counts of felony robbery.

Also, Bexar County deputies arrested Robert Allen, 25, in connection with the shocking murder of a 15 year old boy who was gunned down at a northeast side Whataburger.

Deputies say Allen couldn't get over the fact that he and the victim had argued at a funeral visitation earlier that evening, and he actually followed the teenaged victim to the Whataburger and shot him.

Allen was arrested without incident at a north side apartment.  He will face a murder charge.
