San Antonio based H-E-B has been named the twentieth best place to work in the entire country in the annual survey by the workplace web site Glassdoor.com, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Workers surveyed by Glassdoor rave about H-E-B-s 'fun corporate culture' and say 'every employee is treated fairly.'
"Amazing pay for starter position, great management, friendly environment, Financial support outside of standard pay is amazing, benefits are unmatched, it feels like a second family sometimes with how much they care for the employees. They're always allowing you to try working with different departments around the store so you can see what you like. (A side benefit that doesn't really involve the job itself is that during the holidays i.e. Halloween and christmas. we're allowed to dress up for certain events.)," one employee of H-E-B wrote in the Glassdoor survey.
Other Texas companies on Glassdoor's survey of the best places to work in America include Southwest Airlines (#23), Arlington-based Texas Health Resources (#46) and Houston based Shell Oil (#95).
Companies with a major presence in San Antonio on the list include QuikTrip, Kaiser Permanente, and Toyota North America.
Facebook is the number one place to work in the United States for the third straight year, followed by Boston-based managemnet consulting firm Bain and Company, the Boston Consulting Group, and In-N-Out Burger.
