A man was shot to death overnight as he sat at a red light at the intersection of FM 78 and Foster Rd. on the city's northeast side, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the victim was sitting in his car waiting for the light to change, when a man jumped out of another vehicle, ran up to the victim's car, and fired several shots into the car.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The gunman jumped back into his car, which sped away.
The victim was also armed, but police don't think he got off any shots before hevwas killed.
The shooting fits the pattern of the senseless 'revenge cycle' shootings which have plagued specific parts of the city over the past two years, and the area where Saturday night's shooting took place has seen much of the bloodshed.
