A man was killed today in what police say was a 'mechanical accident' at the Tessman Road Landfill in far east San Antonio, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police were called to the landfill about 10:30 today, and say they found the body of a man caught in the hydraulic arm which is used to operate the netting that covers the load on the garbage truck.
The man was dead on the scene. Police are trying to figure out exactly what happened, but detectives say it appears to be an accidental death.
