Minnesota Public Radio is firing Garrison Keillor over allegations of inappropriate behavior. MPR said it was notified of the allegations while Keillor was responsible for the production of "A Prairie Home Companion." MPR added that it "takes these allegations seriously and we are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful and supportive work environment for all employees." Keillor retired last year from his longtime radio show, but still produced "The Writer's Almanac" for syndication. Keillor began hosting the show in 1974 featuring tales of his fictional Minnesota hometown of Lake Wobegon with a mix of folksy stories and banjo music live from St. Paul.
