Double Shooting Blamed on 'Name Calling'

An argument over 'people being called names' let to two people being shot on the city's east side, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police got a report of an argument at the corner of Gevers and Vine Streets. A third man drove up and joined in the argument, and allegedly started calling the other two men names.

The man who drove up pulled a weapon from the back seat of his car and started firing wildly.  A 34 year old man was shot in the leg and a 44 year old man was shot in the arm.

The suspect then got back into his car and sped away.  There is no word on just what types of 'names' the men were being called.
