A 53 year old south side man was arrested today in connection with the murder of his wife--who vanished way back in 1999, News Radio 1200 reports.
Dedra Salinas was last seen in December of 1999.. Her skeletal remains were found seven years later, buried under a concrete slab in the back yard of the home on Cantrell Street, which is off Zarzamora, that she shared with her husband, Roy Hernandez.
Police say over the years, Hernandez has given detectives 'inconsistent statements' about what happened to his wife, so this week, the case was presented to a grandbjury, which on Thursday indicted Hernandez for murder.
He was arrested today without incident.
