San Antonio Police made short work of a shooting on the city's northwest side early today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police were called to an apartment complex on Prue Road just west of Babcock about 6AM on a report of gunfire. When they arrived, they were told that gunfire had been exchanged in the parking lot of the complex.
'When they arrived, they found a man lying in a breezeway, bleeding from at least one gunshot wound.Police quickly got a description of three men seen running away from the scene, and within an hour, two of them were in custody. It probably didn't hurt that the location these men picked for their crime is literally two blocks from a police substation.
We are not exactly dealing with master criminals. The third man was last seen calling his girlfriend to get a ride away from the shooting scene.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital. The shooting is believed to be drug related.
