A Leon Valley Police Officer was hurt early today while chasing a motorist, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
he chase began on Bandera Road, and then turned onto Loop 410 heading west.
When the officer got to the intersection with Marbach Road, another vehicle rear-ended a third car on the highway, sending that car skidding into the police car, forcing the officer to crash into a median barrier.
The officer was not seriously hurt.The driver of the car that caused the accident is hospitalized and is expected to face an investigation for possible drunk driving.
The two teens in the car that the Leon Valley officer was chasing managed to get away in all the commotion.
