A 3 year old boy is back with his mom this morning following a terrifying ordeal overnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say Josue Gonzalez was in his mom's car when she stopped at her boyfriend's business to pick him up at about 7:30 Monday night.
She left the car running when she ran inside to inform the man that she was there to get him, and when she returned to the car she experienced every mother's horror. The car, and her son, were gone.
"We don't like to see anyone hurt, and I can't imagine having someone taking my child," said SAPD Lt. Dave Berrigan, who led the effort to find Josue.
An AMBER Alert was immediately issued. Berrigan says, following the receipt of a 'tip from a citizen' the car was located in LaGrange, about 110 miles northeast of San Antoino.
Josue was inside, safe and sound, and was returned to his mom.
Police say one arrest has been made, and detectives are investigating the circumstances of the kidnapping.
