Vice President Pence visits Sutherland Springs

Church

Vice President Mike Pence says evil like the Texas church shooting needs to end.  Speaking near the church in Sutherland Springs, Pence said it was a crime that the gunman was able to get a gun at all.  The shooter shouldn't have been able to buy a gun since he was convicted in a military court of domestic assault in 2012.  That conviction was never reported to a national criminal database.  Pence noted that the Air Force and the Department of Defense are conducting investigations.  He also vowed that the Trump administration will work with lawmakers to assure this type of mistake doesn't happen again.
