A passenger was crushed to death early today when a pickup went out of control and rolled over, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the driver was driving erratically and too fast on Loop 410 near I-35 about 12:30 Sunday morning when he completely lost it, skidding into the guard rail and rolling over several times.
One passenger was thrown from the wreckage and crushed by the pickup.. EMS crews worked heroically for about 20 minutes but were unable to save the passenger, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Five other people were in the truck, two adults and three children. They were all rushed to hospitals with multiple injuries.
Police are investigating why the pickup was driving so recklessly, with so many innocent peopke inside.
