A man police say was trying to run across busy Highway 90 near Lackland AFB overnight was killed when he was run over by several vehicles, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the man was wearing dark clothing and the area where he tried to cross is not well lit after dark.Several motorists stopped to render aid and call 9-1-1 and police say no charges are expected.
As is sadly frequently the case in situations like this, an underpass where the man could have crossed safely was less than 100 yards away.
