New Braunfels Teen Dies in Early Morning Rollover

A teenager was killed in an early morning single vehicle accident in New Braunfels early today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

New Braunfels Police say they got a call about a major accident on Saur Lane, which is near the municipal airport, about midnight.

When they arrived they were met by a 19 year old woman with minor injuries who told them she had been a passenger in the vehicle.

She said the driver, identified as Felix Salazar, 18, of New Braunfels, had been speeding down Saur road when he lost control of his car, and flipped over.  The woman said the driver had been ejected from the vehicle and she didn't know where he was.

Crews found the teenager's body in a nearby field.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was treated for minor injuries.  Police say no criminal charges are expected.
