A woman was shot to death as she stood in her own bedroom early today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say a gunman walked onto the sidewalk of the Oak Meadow Villa Apartments in the 2929 block of Rigsby Ave, on the city's southeast side, about 1:15 this morning, and started shooting through the window of the bedroom.
The woman was hit several times, including at least once in the head, and she was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police have no motive and no suspects.
