Police say the shooting of a man on the I-35 access road on the city's northeast side overnight was a bungled robbery attempt, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the victim was walking down the access road of I-35 near the Motel 6 when a man pedaled up on a bicycle, jammed a gun into his face, and demanded money.
The victim brushed the gun aside and was shot in the arm.
The would be robber pedaled away on his bike. The victim walked to the Motel 6 where he called for help.
He is hospitalized with non life threatening wounds. Police have not caught up to the biking bandit.
