Two Teens Arrested for Bungled Marijuana Deal Murder

Two 18 year olds are suddenly looking at very bleak futures, after they were charged with murder in connection with a bungled dope deal early Monday, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Sheriff's investigators say Robnett and Michael Aguilar, both 18, shot and killed a man as he sat behind the wheel of his car on FM 78 near Foster Road early yesterday in what detectives say was a marijuana sale gone bad.

Detectives say Robnett and Aguilar were meeting the victim, Gary Barnhardt, 19, to buy a baggie of marijuana from Barnhardt's friend, Albert Ramirez.

As soon as Ramirez forked over the weed, Ramirez says Robnett pulled a gun, pointed it at Barnhardt, and pulled the trigger.

Barnhardt was shot several times, and Ramirez was also shot after he tried to knock the gun away.Ramirez managed to pull the car into the parking lot of an H-E-B store and call for help, but Barnhardt died at SAMMC.

Detectives didn't say why the two young men decided to throw their lives away in shooting Barnhardt.  Both are charged with murder and face up to 99 years or life in prison.
