A man suffered life threatening head injuries overnight when he went through a red light on the city's south side and slammed into a VIA bus, police tell News Radio 1200 WOAI.
Police say the bus was traveling south on South Presa, just south of downtown, when a white pickup truck ran the light at the Carolina St intersection.
The pickup T-boned the bus, with a force so strong that the pickup was tossed to the other side of the street.
The driver of the pickup suffered massive head injuries and was rushed to SAMMC with no vital signs.
Nobody on the bus was hurt.
